NEW BUSINESS 🍦 Jeni's Splendid Ice Creams Coming to Downtown The beloved creamery known for flavors like Salty Caramel and Brown Butter Almond Brittle is opening its first Huntsville location at 114 Clinton Ave E in Clinton Row, right next to Honest Coffee. It will be Jeni's third Alabama location. No opening date yet, but it is confirmed. Relocating? Good to know. DEVELOPMENT 🚧 Stadium Commons Kicks Off Phase 2 in South Huntsville The 18 acre mixed use development next to John Hunt Park is moving into its next phase. Phase 1 already brought Hattie B's Hot Chicken, Free People, and VSL Nail Spa to the South Parkway corner. Still coming: a Juniper's Kitchen restaurant and a 145 room Hyatt Place Hotel, with a dual branded Hilton rising nearby. The full project will top 200,000 square feet when complete. What this signals for buyers. Continued investment in South Huntsville's retail and hospitality corridor is worth watching. COMMUNITY ⛸️ Ice Sports Center Expansion on Track for Late 2026 Huntsville's Ice Sports Center is adding a full new arena and a dedicated curling facility. Construction is making visible progress, with a December 2026 target for the arena and February 2027 for curling. The expansion opens up more ice time for hockey, figure skating, public skates, and youth leagues. For families relocating.
